We often welcome groups from our community to visit our workshops and see British industry in the making. Our workshops are continuously busy with manufacturing and servicing roller mills, hammer mills, flaking mills and pulverizers and our new test centre is currently being refurbished and extended for new and exciting projects.
The Bridge Special School recently visited Christy Turner as part of their Science Week. Our MD, Ian Butcher conducted a guided tour of our workshops and manufacturing floor.
Emma Byford, of The Bridge School, tells us..
"It was a brilliant opportunity to see the manufacturing industry in action, as we learned about processes such as welding and compacting materials. It was a fantastic chance to see engineering in action. The children really enjoyed the chance to learn about engineering and manufacturing. Our children have complex learning needs and really benefit from ‘real life’ insights into these industries. Many thanks to Ian and his team for such an informative day” The children also spent some time in our offices learning how we work and who we manufacture for. Emma continues “The children couldn't wait to tell their teachers about their exciting day when they got back to school”.
